Last chance: BIT (BIT of Introductory Time)

The BIT sign-up is open until Sunday 6 September 18:00!

BIT is a period with activities in September to get to know the ins and outs of studying and student life. In groups of 8 first-years, led by 2 older students, you can visit various activities. You get to know lots of people and make new friends. Check bit.svcover.nl for info and registration.

To senior students: would you like to lead a BIT group to help first-years get to know Cover? Then sign up on bit.svcover.nl! You can sign up with someone else if you’d like to lead a group together.

Linux Workshop

In preparation for the course Imperative Programming, we are organizing a workshop for Linux, where we will cover the essential basics of navigating the maze of Linux, getting the terminal to listen to you, and getting that C-code compiled right.

Capgemini Lunch Lecture

Date & time: Tuesday 8th of September, 11:00 till 13:00

Rutger Katz (Innovation Architect at Capgemini) will talk about how intelligence in new technologies will enhance technologies from simple gimmicks to true innovative services and products that can cause disruption in the present market. He will use examples in the fields of robotics, drones, and virtual and augmented reality to illustrate the matter. Afterwards a free delicious lunch will be served to attendees!

Scavenger Hunt + Borrel

We will celebrate the start of the new academic year with a scavenger hunt and a borrel afterwards!

We’re looking for committee members

Cover is looking for new committee members for the ABCee, BookCee, Memory, PCee, and StudCee. Take a look at the committee pages to learn more, or apply by sending a mail to intern@svcover.nl.

Constitutional GA

Date & time: Wednesday 9th of September, 19:00
Location: Café de Keyzer (Turftorenstraat 4)

We would like to invite you to the General Assembly on the 9th of September. The meeting will start at 19:00.

Here you can find the agenda of the assembly. This GA we will vote for two changes in the Rules and Regulations ("Huishoudelijk Reglement"). Other matters on the agenda include the year reports of the committees and the board, the year account and the change of board! They will then present their policy and the budget for the coming year.

All relevant documents for the meeting are available here. We request that you read them before the assembly to let the meeting go as smoothly as possible.

If you won't be able to be there, but still want your vote to count, please fill in the authorisation form and hand it over to the secretary of the board, or put it in her mailbox in the Cover room.
