Course Enrollment

Today is the last day to enroll for courses in period 1b. Don’t be too late!

Join a Committee

Most Cover activities are organized by committees. Joining a committee is great: together with other students you organize cool things for the association. You get to know new people, learn new skills, and have much fun! If you are interested in joining a committee, send an e-mail to intern@svcover.nl before the deadline.

Memory: Do you love the Cover Room as much as we do? Show your love and affection by joining the Memory! As a member of the Memory you have a 2-hour shift each week, where you are responsible for the Cover Room. Beside that you get a say in the dressing of the room.

ABCee: The Academic Broadening Committee regularly arranges study-related activities such as lectures, trips to AI- and CS-related companies and institutes, and of course a yearly trip to a city in a foreign country.

BookCee: Did you order your books with us? Then you have already met the BookCee. As a BookCee member you check what books to put in the webshop and keep contact with Studystore. Feel like helping out? Join the BookCee!

Many committees have a deadline on the 16th of October: the ABCee, HEROcee, IntroCee, LANcee, Memory, PhotoCee, and YearbookCee. Some of these committees are still open for new members. If you are interested in a committee that is not looking for members, you can also e-mail to intern@svcover.nl.

External Committees

Cover also participates in some external activities with other associations. If you’d like to organize an activity for an even larger audience, then you might want to join one of these committees. Interested in one? E-mail to intern@svcover.nl.

SNiC symposium committee: SNiC is a yearly national symposium about a CS-related topic. The symposium is organised by a committee of 7 members. SNiC is still looking for a committee to organise next year’s symposium. This symposium is quite big and will therefore be a good addition to your resume. Joining this committee gives you a unique opportunity to work with international speakers, a budget on a big scale and the logistic side of creating a large national symposium.
The symposium is CS related. Therefore we are mainly looking for CS students. AI students can apply as well. The committee will be formed for a whole year, from November till November. With this message, we are polling within Cover for interest in organizing SNiC next year.

Alfabetfeest (Alphabet party) committee: The Alfabetfeest is a yearly event hosted by several study associations of the University of Groningen. We are one of the associations that has a spot on the organising committee. As a member of this committee you plan the entire event, from the location and theme to the music and price of drinks. Joining an external committee is a unique opportunity to meet people from other associations and organizing a party like Alfabetfeest is always fun!
