Beta Business Days 2016

The Beta Business Days is a unique two-day career event for all students of the FMNS at the RUG. The event gives students the opportunity to investigate their career prospects and make contacts that could lead to an internship, a thesis project or even a job. There’s a program with a variety of activities by companies. The event is free of charge and includes breakfast, lunch and even drinks after!

Mixborrel Esperia: Goed vout

Soon we are organizing drinks together with Esperia. Esperia is the study association for European Languages and Culture.

Are you interested in meeting your fellow students from a different faculty? This borrel is the night before easter weekend on the day you receive stufi. No reason for you to not be there!

The theme of the mixborrel is “Goed vout”. So pick your wrongest outfit and join us on March 24th!

Crash and Compile

The Cover LANcee and Quintor are organizing a crash-and-compile at Quintor! Join us for an evening of hammering the keyboard as you get hammered yourself. We have collected the finest of programming challenges for beginning programmers and more seasoned ones alike.

Food and beer is accounted for by Quintor. Bring your laptop and a team mate, furthermore your thinking cap — we’ll supply the drinking tab.

Member Weekend: Pirates vs. Ninjas

In the weekend after the exams, just before period IIb, the second Cover member weekend of 2015–2016 takes place! This weekend’s theme is Pirates vs. Ninjas. During the weekend we have some cool activities and unlimited food and drinks (including a BBQ!). Besides the activities there’s plenty of time to relax, play games, or do whatever you want.

Board Members 2016–2017

Are you interested in being in the next Cover board? A board year is a very valuable experience and a lot of fun! Besides that it is a great addition to your resume. In the first half of April we organize an open board meeting and an informal evening (with former board members as well) so you can learn what being in the board is all about. We also organize personal coffee moments where you can ask anything to a board member. If you have any questions or if you want to request a coffee moment, contact the board or one of its members directly!

College Carrousel Assistants (Earn € 15!)

Do you want to earn some money? We are looking for Dutch students to assist with the College Carrousel. This is an event where 16 and 17 year old high school students (4e klas) are shown University per Faculty. We are looking for afternoon helpers, who are paid € 15. As an afternoon helper you bring people to their classes and help. An afternoon is from 13:00 till 15:00. We still need helpers for 29/31 March and 5 April. Are you interested? Career Day Committee Members

We are looking for enthusiastic students to participate in the Career Day committee. In this committee the FMNS study associations, the Beta Business Days, and FMNS Career Services work together to once again organise a successful Career Day for FMNS master students, this year on the 1st of December. The Career Day focuses on the skills students need to secure their place on the labour market. Last year 300 students attended. Are you going to ensure that even more students get a grip on their career? If you think you are the right person for the job please send your CV and motivation letter to chairman@betabusinessdays.nl.

The Brainstorm is looking for new members! The Brainstorm is our association’s magazine, filled with fun and entertaining content as well as serious articles. Are you creative? Are you an expert when it comes to bookkeeping? Have you been treasurer of an association before? Are you concerned with/interested in the financials of Cover? Help us out and apply for the AudiCee! As an AudiCee member you will audit the books of Cover and advise the treasurer when asked for. Interested? You can apply by sending an e-mail to intern@svcover.nl.
