Activities

BIT (BIT of Introductory Time)

To all first-year students: we’d hereby like to welcome you to Cover. Cover is the study association for Artificial Intelligence and Computing Science at the University of Groningen. We help you during your studies and organize great activities. We look forward to getting to know you and having a great time together!

BIT is a period with activities in September to get to know the ins and outs of studying and student life. In groups of 6 first-years, led by 2 older students, you can visit various activities. You get to know lots of people and make new friends. Check bit.svcover.nl for info and registration.

To senior students: would you like to lead a BIT group to help first-years get to know Cover? Then sign up on bit.svcover.nl! You can sign up with someone else if you’d like to lead a group together.

What is a better way to start the academic year with some beer in the Tapperij? Nothing! (duh)

PubliciTee: Have you seen the awesome posters for Cover activities? They were created by PubliciTee members! The PubliciTee is a creative committee that designs posters and sometimes other promotional material. Do you want to create the next good poster? Join the PubliciTee!

Looking for ComExa members!

At the start of this year a new ComExa will be formed. The ComExa is the Committee of External Affairs, this committee supports the Commissioner of External Affairs in approaching interesting companies related to CS and AI. As the future Commissioner of External Affairs, I, Robin Twickler, would like to continue the committee and improve it wherever I can.

As a member of the ComExa, you will have the chance to suggest, get to know, contact and visit companies. We will aim to establish useful and interesting partnerships for the association so we can organize fun, appealing and creative activities for the upcoming years.

Are you interested in gaining a lot of useful experience and skills next year, or are you very talented already? Do you want to gain valuable contacts and maybe even find a bachelor/master project or a job? Don’t hesitate any longer and send an email to extern@svcover.nl.
