Study Support Imperative Programming

Do you have any problems with the theory of Imperative Programming? Do you want help in preparing for you exam? During this study support session, we will discuss parts of an old exam and help you understand subjects that are relevant for your exam (such as recognizing the time complexity of a program).

During this lecture, we will also shortly deal with some topics that might need a short reminder, such as the workings of recursion. There will also we the opportunity to ask questions.

Come to the largest Computing Science Congress of the Netherlands. They day includes transportation to and from the Utrecht, lunch and dinner! For Cover members it is only 7,50!

WAMPEX

It is getting colder and darker outside, so it is time for the Wampex! The Wampex is a kind of survival puzzle tour at night. The total length of the tour is about 25 to 27km, if you take the correct route. Experience or training is not necessary. The route is described cryptically and leads through beautiful natural environments, meadows and over unpaved paths in or near Drachten. This year three teams can participate, consisting of at least 5 people and at most 7. Along the trip some assignments need to be fulfilled and puzzles must be solved.

A LANners guide to the Galaxy

Let the LANners guide to the galaxy help you have an awesome weekend full of gaming

This years' LAN is on the 18th and 19th of November. Join the LANcee and fellow students for two days full of gaming and chilling in the Education Support Center. We'll organize the network, lunch and the possibility to order food and get your computer transported. All you have to do is show up.

We open on Friday at 18:00 and close at 03:00. On Saturday the LAN starts at 10:00 and closes at 03:00. The whole event will happen in the Education Support Center in the Bernoulliborg, at Zernike. We will provide lunch on Saturday.

Signup and ordering of services can be done at our website, free of charge. Yes, you've read that correctly, this time the LAN is free! So no excuses to not join us this awesome weekend.

Make sure you sign up in time, because we only have 50 places available.

Map your AI study programme

Together with the academic advisor we are organising an information session on the planning of your study programme, for 2nd and 3rd year AI BSc students. Learn the details about the options available in your BSc program, find out the requirements to get your degree and let other students inform you about the elective courses you have to choose from. For the second half of this information session we are also looking for AI students who have already taken a variety of elective courses and who are willing to share their experiences. AphrodiTee

The AphrodiTee is one of Cover's youngest and most feminine committee and they make sure that the women of the association also get enough fun activities to participate in. These activities range from sporty and active, such as a ballroom dancing course, to relaxed, such as a Valentine’s dinner.

Are you internationally oriented and interested? Then BEST might be the one for you! BEST is a big European organisation that organises courses all over Europe. The university of Groningen wants this too, and you can help. Become board of the local BEST group of Groningen (±5 hours per week).
