ABCee

The Academic Broadening Committee regularly arranges study-related activities such as lectures, trips to AI- and CS-related companies and institutes, and of course a yearly trip to a city in a foreign country.

ActiviTee

Are you looking for a fun and social committee? Do you want to help organize and spice up activities like Borrels, Running Dinners, Game Nights, Pub Quizzes, and other activities/parties? Join the ActiviTee!

Memory

Do you love the Cover Room as much as we do? Show your love and affection by joining the Memory! As a member of the Memory you have a 2-hour shift each week, where you are responsible for the Cover Room. Beside that you get a say in the interior of the room and you organize Thursday Afternoon Borrels(TAB) and some activities.

PubliciTee

Have you seen the awesome posters for Cover activities? They were created by PubliciTee members! The PubliciTee is a creative committee that designs posters and sometimes other promotional material. Do you want to create the next good poster? Join the PubliciTee!

[Career] Lunch Lecture: KPN Consultancy Workshop Digital Transformation

The world changes rapidly and keeping up with technological advancements, like disruptive innovators, poses a real challenge for companies and organizations. New technologies allow companies to become more innovative, efficient and more focused on their customers. However, just trying these new technologies will not suffice so for a successful digital transformation digitalization should play a central role within the company’s strategy. KPN consulting has lots of experience guiding companies in this process and they contribute to the development of internet of things, augmented reality and cloud applications.

During the consultancy workshop digital transformation you will help a customer with his digital transformation and the challenges this brings. Knowledge about business alone will not be enough you will also need to know your way around internet of things, digital workspace, cloud and data management. Can you combine IT and strategy optimally? Then you will be the winning digital master!

ZigZag

Do you know all the ins and outs of Groningen? Or would you love getting to know them? This is your chance! Join us for ZIGZAG, a quest through Groningen with a group of fellow students. At the most wonderful spots in Groningen there will be assignments for your group, but you first need to solve the riddles in order to find them. Earn jokers by completing the assingments and use them in your advantage in THE BIG FINAL.

Join us at the Grote Markt at 15:30 or come and check out THE BIG FINAL in the Noorderplantsoen at 18:00.

Since the weather forecast is really nice we are having a barbecue(bring your own food) after the BIG FINAL in the Noorderplantsoen. Make sure you join us!!!

Symposium: Made in Groningen

High up north lies the beautiful city of Groningen. The home of the University of Groningen and Study Association Cover for Artificial Intelligence and Computing Science. But Groningen is not only a hotspot for students and tourists, it also is home to a lot of innovative companies and startups. During this symposium on the 18th of May we want to give an exclusive insight into some of these companies. What do they do, and more importantly: how do they use artificial intelligence and computing science in their daily work. Everyone is welcome to join us, but registration is mandatory.

Climbing at Bjoeks

Always wondered if climbing would be fun? You probably had plenty of experience as a kid in trees. But now you can test your skills and learn how to climb properly with this introduction class at Bjoeks. The class will start at 16.00 so be ready by then and it will take about an hour and a half. Bring sporting shoes and a (short) sport pants. Best of all this class will only cost you 10€ instead of the normal 15€! Sign up before 23.59 on 18 may!

[Career] Inhouse day @ Quintor

This evening we will visit Quintor, a large IT company in the centre of Groningen. There will be a lecture on blockchain technology (the technology used for bitcoins), then we will have a free dinner. Followed by a scrum workshop and we will end with drinks!
