Week review

The end of the academic year is getting closer and closer, which also means that the exams are getting closer and closer. So we had three different study supports and we hope we helped a lot of people with their studies! On Thursday we had our Beer Olympics, which was very spectacular and members of Cover really showed us that they can drink and sport at the same time. The weather also was amazing, so I even swam in the Hoornseplas.

Next week the exams begin, so we don't have many activities. Still one Study Support, and in the weekend a Hackathon. If you want to join us, then don't forget to sign up!

The weather is going to be amazing this weekend, so don't forget to have some breaks inbetween the study sessions ;)

Hackathon @BelSimpel

Have you ever wanted to play with real world data? Now you can! Join us at BelSimpel in the city center for Cover's very first Hackathon.

During this Hackathon, which lasts a whole weekend, small teams of people can work on data provided by BelSimpel. And the best part is that there are no restrictions on what do with it! If you can come up with some creative way to handle the data, you can! There will also be free beer and food so join us for a weekend of chill programming.

Large LAMA

Cover is an association that is carried by the voluntary work of its active members. To show our gratitude for all the work that was outputted throughout the last year we are organizing an event just for our active members.

Today we will have our yearly Large Lovely Active Members Activity. There will be food and hopefully a lot of sun! Not only will this be a fun day, also we will announce the winner of the committee battle! More info on the exact location, time and activities, coming soon!

Final Activity: Boating through the canals of Groningen

On July 5, it is the final activity of the ActiviTee! This time, we stay in Groningen, but on the water. We are going to cruise in longboats, through the waters of Groningen, with lots of free snacks and beer (and other drinks). The best part is that this is all FREE. We will start boating at 15:30, so please be on time. Then in the evening we will have our borrel/social in the Tapperij so we can close the day. :)

Borrel: Pyjama Party

Come to the last borrel of this academic year! We're tired of learning and studying, so we are ready for lots of sleep, netflix, and more sleep. We also want to party, because we have holidays! To make your life a bit easier, you can come in your pyjama so you don't have to undress when you're going to bed.

ps. There are free beers so you can spend your money on holidays.

TransFuture Festival

On Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd of June, EnTranCe will host the TransFuture Festival for the third time. A festival for professionals, entrepreneurs, companies, governments and stakeholders around new energy and innovation. The TransFuture Festival is organized together with partners who shape the festival together with us.

On Thursday, June 22, TransFuture Festival will be characterized by a business-to-business event, with knowledge sharing, networking and chatting in a good festival atmosphere. Look at the Facebook event here

ABCee

The Academic Broadening Committee regularly arranges study-related activities such as lectures, trips to AI- and CS-related companies and institutes, and of course a yearly trip to a city in a foreign country.

Memory

Do you love the Cover Room as much as we do? Show your love and affection by joining the Memory! As a member of the Memory you have a 2-hour shift each week, where you are responsible for the Cover Room. Beside that you get a say in the interior of the room and you organize Thursday Afternoon Borrels(TAB) and some activities.

PubliciTee

Have you seen the awesome posters for Cover activities? They were created by PubliciTee members! The PubliciTee is a creative committee that designs posters and sometimes other promotional material. Do you want to create the next good poster? Join the PubliciTee!
