Week review

Hopefully everybody was stil able to study and didn't get distracted by the beautiful weather this week. We had the last study support session of the year this week and there is just 1 week of exams left.

This Wednesday was Ibn Battuta's constitutional drink and this was time I had to congratulate a new board, because Tineke wasn't able to make it. This was very exciting to do and all of the candidate board members had a lot of fun.

It's also the first time I write the newsletter, so you'll have to miss Tineke's week reviews from now on.

Large LAMA

Cover is an association that is carried by the voluntary work of its active members. To show our gratitude for all the work that was outputted throughout the last year we are organizing an event just for our active members.

Today we will have our yearly Large Lovely Active Members Activity. There will be food and hopefully a lot of sun! Not only will this be a fun day, also we will announce the winner of the committee battle! More info on the exact location, time and activities, coming soon!

Final Activity: Boating through the canals of Groningen

Wed July 5, 15:15-17:30, Reitdiephaven

On July 5, it is the final activity of the ActiviTee! This time, we stay in Groningen, but on the water. We are going to cruise in longboats, through the waters of Groningen, with lots of free snacks and beer (and other drinks). The best part is that this is all FREE. We will start boating at 15:30, so please be on time. Then in the evening we will have our borrel/social in the Tapperij so we can close the day. :)

Borrel: Pyjama Party

Come to the last borrel of this academic year! We're tired of learning and studying, so we are ready for lots of sleep, netflix, and more sleep. We also want to party, because we have holidays! To make your life a bit easier, you can come in your pyjama so you don't have to undress when you're going to bed.

ps. There are free beers so you can spend your money on holidays.

Honorary Members

Lately we’ve heard some requests about making people honorary members. Because there is a procedure for this that is not commonly known, we’ll explain it here shortly:

To make somebody honorary member there has to be a vote during a GA. To put somebody forward for this it has to be done by the board or by 10 members of Cover. If more than 75% of the valid votes are in favor the person will become a honorary member.

ABCee

The Academic Broadening Committee regularly arranges study-related activities such as lectures, trips to AI- and CS-related companies and institutes, and of course a yearly trip to a city in a foreign country.

Memory

Do you love the Cover Room as much as we do? Show your love and affection by joining the Memory! As a member of the Memory you have a 2-hour shift each week, where you are responsible for the Cover Room. Beside that you get a say in the interior of the room and you organize Thursday Afternoon Borrels(TAB) and some activities.

PubliciTee

Have you seen the awesome posters for Cover activities? They were created by PubliciTee members! The PubliciTee is a creative committee that designs posters and sometimes other promotional material. Do you want to create the next good poster? Join the PubliciTee!
