Activities

Week review

We started the week with the Board Information Session, where we explained what we do as a board and each function. On Tuesday and Wednesday the Beta Business Days 2018 where held. I hope everybody had a good time and made some worthy career connections. On Thursday we had the EscalatieMix TAD with free beer. It was very well attended and a lot of fun.

General Assembly

It's time for the next General Assembly! After the succes of last time we decided to have it at the university again. This time we'll discuss, among others, the half year reports, long term plan and extra sponsor income. Make sure to have your voice heard and come by. A list to sign up for pizza's will be placed in the Cover room, so make sure to sign up for it to not miss out on the food.

National MasterDay AI

Wednesday 21st of March, 12:00 till 17:00, Utrecht University

This activity is not organised by Cover. Are you currently enrolled in a bachelor Artificial Intelligence or something in related fields? NSVKI organizes a master information day. The AI masters of Amsterdam, Groningen, Nijmegen and Utrecht will be represented. If you're not sure yet what kind of master you want to do, to what city you want, if you want to do a master at all and what a specific master will be like, you are more than welcome on this day!

Open Board Meeting 2

Come join us during one of the open board meetings to see how we run the association day to day! How we handle problems, which parties are involved, how we interact with the university and much more!

Crash & Compile

Thursday 22nd of March, 17:30 till 23:00, Quintor

On Thursday the 22nd of March, the annual Crash & Compile returns! The C&C is a programming competition held at Quintor where you take a drink every time your code fails. There will be ten programming exercises, each more difficult than the last, and you'll earn more points the quicker you solve them. There are prizes to win and drinks to be drunk, so sign up (in pairs) as soon as possible, as there are only 30 spaces (15 pairs)! Drinks and dinner are generously provided by Quintor, so there is no entry fee. Sign up here!

Board Interest Night

Are you interested in doing a board year at Cover? Are you still unsure or have more questions about it? At the board interest night the current board, but also old board members from previous years will be present and available for questions. Come have a chat with them and have a beer. The setting will be casual, so if you're even slightly interested just come by and have a fun and informative evening!

Struggling to understand how to structure your data? Come to the support session for ADinC where we will take you through as many exam questions as possible.

College Carrousel

Because this event involves Dutch high school students, only Dutch speaking students can sign-up, sorry!

Op 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 en 12 april zal de College Carrousel 2018 plaatsvinden. Tijdens het College Carrousel komen 4e klassers van de middelbare scholen uit de omgeving naar Zernike om kennis te maken met studies die de RUG aanbiedt. Bij onze faculteit lopen ze die dag langs verschillende opdrachten over de studies Natuurkunde, Kunstmatige Intelligentie, Scheikunde, Sterrenkunde en Technische Bedrijfskunde. Wij zoeken daarvoor begeleiders!

Natuurlijk doe je dit niet voor niks, voor het helpen van een middag krijg je €15,- euro en voor een hele dag €35,- euro. Als je de hele dag meehelpt krijg je bovendien een uitgebreide lunch verzorgd.

Honours Review

Honours Review is a student-led initiative funded by the University's Honours College. We look for in depth and original pieces in include in our biannual journal. You can rewrite a previous essay or, if you're feeling up for it, write a whole article of around 2000 words specifically for us. Even if you're not interested in writing, but still want to gain experience in working for a journal - reviewing articles, offering feedback - you can also contact us at honoursreview@rug.nl and we'll be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

The StudCee organises study support activities for all AI and CS students. You probably went to one of our lectures (if you haven’t, you totally should!!).
