Brainstorm with the board - Long Term Plan

As discussed during the GA, we are in the process of forming a Long Term Plan and we need your help! The current plan needs to be tuned and elaborated, so come voice your idea's for Cover. Tell us your vision for Cover in 5 years. Tell us what you think is important to focus on the next 3 to 5 years.

[CAREER] Interactive excursion HTG

Cover will take care of transportation.
On the 18th of April we will travel to Delfzijl for a excursion to HTG. The company organizes an inhouseday for Cover so you can get into contact with the young professionals that are working in IT-solutions. Next to that you've got the chance to show your talent in a challenging case about the Microsoft HoloLens. We'll end the day with drinks.
At this moment there are 60 people working at different locations in the EU and Middle East, focusing on implementing new technologies to realize the planned growth and development of HTG. One of the current technologies worked on is the Microsoft Hololens, which can greatly improve the logistic processes. Do you want to do a project on augmented reality? HTG is looking for people willing to do a thesis on the HoloLens.
Next to that, HTG is one of the first companies that have implemented the AutoStore in logistics. In this process there are 42 robots working together to collect orders. Of course we will have a look at this in Delfzijl!
During the day we will discuss:
- Tools used for predictive analysis.
- The AutoStore used to realize B2B2C-orders
- Development of the HoloLens-application to optimize orderpicking.
- The infrastructure- and applicationenvironment
- The organization and activities of the IT-division
- Possibilities of an internship or traineeship at HTG

Theme Announcement TAD Lustrum

Of course you do and we have just the thing for you: A LAN party going on for a full weekend! Come and join us at the 2018 version of everyone’s favorite event. You can bring your own computer yourself or pay a small fee to make use of the transport service to carry your desktop PCs. Alternatively, just use the consoles in the Cover room to crush fellow Cover members in whatever game you want to play. Sign up and snacks are free, and we will order dinner (also free once you pay for it). If this wasn’t enough to lure you in, we will also be organizing an adrenaline-filled tournament with amazing prizes.

Deze vindt plaats op het Zernike (Nijenborgh, Groningen) en is bedoeld om studenten van de Faculty of Science and Engineering of ruimtelijke wetenschappen te informeren over de educatiemaster en een carrière in het onderwijs.

Hooghoudt Liquor Tour and Tasting

On the 23th of April, we will go to Hooghoudt distillery. Here we get to see how the typical Groninger liquors are made. On top of that we will get to taste a lot of nice liquors during this tour. The costs for this activity will be 10 euro's per person.
