Trip to Bremen

Do you want to have an awesome three day adventure with fellow Cover members? Then join the ABCee for a trip to Bremen!

We will have a host of cool activities in this great city, including a visit to the University of Bremen. There we will visit their robotics laboratory and the Ambient Assisted Living Laboratory - BAALL among other things. Of course, there will also be free time to explore the city.

The price will be less than 40 euros!

Academic Writing Workshop

Do you want to make sure that your thesis is easy to read while properly getting your point across? Do you want to produce a quality paper instead of just another bachelors project doomed to gather dust in the repository?Then join us at the Academic Writing workshop! Here we will go over a lot of tips that can help you get your point across, while they will also make writing more fun. The workshop will cover more unambiguous structural writing as well as other language devices. We will also spend some time on how to make and give presentations.

Ever wonder what people are up to after they finish their studies and start working? This is your chance to casually ask them some questions and drink a beer with them. Of course it might also be a chance to see some old friends again.

Wind surfing

Monday 28th of May, 16:00 till 18:00, Hoornsemeer

Come join us on the (hopefully) wavey, sunny, yet breezy 28th of May. We will participate in a surf clinic organised by G.S.W.V. SurfAce at the Hoornsemeer. For only 5 euro's, you can join in on the fun and learn with everyone else how cold the water is right now and maybe learn some wind surfing as well!

This is THE annual legendary gala to conclude this academic year with a huge party! Be there or be square!

The theme is Roaring Twenties! So grab your glitter dress, boas or smoking and go party with us on swinging beats and unlimited beer, wine and soda! Ticket sale will start May 7th!

Announcement by the StudCee

We are pleased to say that CACTuS, our tutoring system, has surpassed 100 unique logins. We appreciate all the members of Cover who have contributed to making CACTuS a success.

We would also like to announce that CACTuS is now open sourced and can be found on GitHub. People can fix issues already listed in the repository, request new features for CACTuS, or even build their own feature for the system.

Programme Committee

Do you have any remarks or suggestions for improvement for your courses? You can send them in so that the courses you are following will increase qualitatively, while you are following them! Furthermore, you can always approach the programme committee with your comments on courses. The programme committee is the committee that takes the course evaluation questionnaire results into account when evaluating the programme. Your comments will be taken into account as well, you only need to make them known!

The Academic Broadening Committee regularly arranges study-related activities such as lectures, trips to AI- and CS-related institutes, and of course a yearly trip to a city in a foreign country.

Are you looking for a fun and social committee? Do you want to help organize and spice up activities like Socials, Game Nights, and other activities/parties?

Have you seen the awesome posters for Cover activities? They were created by PubliciTee members! The PubliciTee is a creative committee which designs posters and sometimes other promotional material. Will you create the next good poster?

StudCee

The StudCee organises study support activities for all AI and CS students. You probably went to one of our lectures (if you haven’t, you totally should!!). Anyways, because some older members are leaving, we’re looking for fresh blood! So if you enjoy helping others, want to enrich your college experience, and enjoy good food/cooking, then let us know! You’re free to join a meeting to see what we’re all about.

LCDee

Do you want to organize a LAN, a crash and compile or other programming or gaming related activities? Join the LCDee!

Memory

Do you love the Cover Room as much as we do? Show your love and affection by joining the Memory! As a member of the Memory you have a 2-hour shift each week, where you are responsible for the Cover Room. Besides that you get a say in the interior of the room and you organize Thursday Afternoon Drinks (TAD) and some activities.

SporTee

The goal of the SporTee is to keep the members of Cover in shape by organising sporty and fun activities. Examples of such activities are dodge ball, ice skating and paint-balling. Would you like to organise activities with a sporty character, join the SporTee!
