Story time!

Watch out: This newsletter is in an experimental phase. Please send us feedback if you want to have something added/changed/removed.

Dear members,

Welcome to all new members who recently joined Cover! Also, welcome back to all 'older' members. I hope you all had a great summer. As you can see, this newsletter is sort of 'out-of-line' in various ways. The reason for this is that we try to change and swap things around in this very newsletter. This is an effort to streamline Cover's digital environment. Please expect some more experimental newsletters over the next weeks.

This week is jam-packed with exciting and educational events. The StudCee is organising a staggering amount of four events this week. Granted, they are two of the same kind, but still, pretty cool. These are Programming for Dummies and Linux Workshop!

Not only are we working your minds, we are also testing your social skills! The ActiviTee are organising the first borrel of the academic year! (Don't know what a 'borrel' is? Ask someone Dutch!) If you are 'in the mood', come on Wednesday 21:30 to 't Gat van Groningen for our Welcome (back) social where we have 200 free beers available. Yes... 200 free beers...

Last but not least, we end the week with the annual Introduction Camp organised by the marvellous IntroCee. After such a busy week we thought we could offer you a chance to "ReWind".

Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! You can help to organise big events (such as the IntroCamp); organise weekly socials; make contracts with partners; plan cool sporting events; become a hero; and much more! The best part is, you can join without any prior experience. See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members! Or scroll down to view list of committees that need new members!

Intense love,

Nice to know!
