Carnival time

Dear members,

To all members in committees: We have something for you! And it's called a Little Lama. This stands for Little Lovely Active Member Activity. The board would like to invite you to Het Heerenhuis on Monday evening. All you need is some energy and a good mood!

For the first lunch lecture of this year's Careermonth, the monks from Abbey Games will come to tell us about their newest game, how they built their engine and how they created their game AI. Abbey Games is an independent game studio from Utrecht, already known for a two positively reviewed titles: Reus and Renowned Explorer. Join us at the Career Month Lunch Lecture Abbey Games.

Carnival is coming to Groningen this year, so take your craziest costumes from the back of your closet and join us at the Carnival Social. To get everyone in the mood, Prins Pils will be there too, to hand out 100 free beers.

Lunch & Learn: Have you always wanted to give a workshop on your favourite hobby or skill? Do you know your way around every Adobe product and want to show off? Or want your fellow Cover members to also know the complete history of tanks? For our Lunch & Learn workshop series in May we want to have a lecture given by a fellow student. National Student Survey: The National Student Survey 2019 (NSE) has started! Via the NSE all students in the Netherlands are invited to make their voice heard on their degree programme. The University of Groningen decided to participate in the NSE this year again. This means that each student will receive the NSE survey invitation via email. The questionnaire will take you about 15 minutes to complete. Via the link in the email you can start the questionnaire immediately. Did you participate last year? Thank you! Be sure to make your voice heard again, because your opinion matters. For more information, go to nse.nl. College Carrousel: Lijkt het je leuk om middelbare scholieren kennis te laten maken met de bètawetenschap? Geef je dan op als begeleider van de College Carrousel, een groot kennismakingsevenement voor leerlingen uit de 4e klas van het voortgezet onderwijs. De College Carrousel vindt plaats op 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 en 11 april 2019. We zoeken studenten die de hele dag willen werken (9.15-15.15 uur, 35 euro) en studenten die 's middags groepjes willen rondleiden (13.00-15.00 uur, 20 euro). Master's Scholarship in robotics: Harbour.Space University and Remy Robotics are collaborating to offer top students a once in a lifetime opportunity, a fully funded scholarship for Harbour.Space University’s progressive Master’s Programme in Robotics. Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members! If you want to apply for a committee please email intern@svcover.nl. A resume or motivation is optional, so feel free to just tell him you are interested!

Memory

The Cover Room, the beating heart of Cover. The Memory keeps this heart beating but always making sure the room is open for a few hours every week. You get to decide how the interior looks as well as being in charge of the Thursday Afternoon Drinks every week.

HEROcee

This is Cover's safest committee. The members of this committee can be asked to perform as an ERO at several activities. If something happens around the Cover Room we can of course also be of help. Apply if you are interested in being a true HERO.

PropaganDee

The PropaganDee is the committee that designs, create and prints posters for Cover. They assure the quality of the Cover's posters, so that committees are able to focus on other tasks, without having to worry about posters.
