Beta Business Week

Dear members,

Ready for the largest career event for beta students in Groningen? The Beta Business Days 2019 takes place on Monday and Tuesday at MartiniPlaza. This unique career event is the perfect opportunity to orientate yourself, find internships or even start your career!

On Wednesday, Dataprovider is coming to tell us how they use Attentive selection for fast and efficient object selection in their data. Dataprovider is a company based in Groningen that provides data insights to big parties like Paypal and Google. Join us at the Career Month Lunch Lecture: Dataprovider.

Lunch & Learn: Have you always wanted to give a workshop on your favourite hobby or skill? Do you know your way around every Adobe product and want to show off? Or want your fellow Cover members to also know the complete history of tanks? For our Lunch & Learn workshop series in May we want to have a lecture given by a fellow student. If you think you have the perfect skill to share contact the IlluminaTee at illuminatee@svcover.nl.

National Student Survey: The National Student Survey 2019 (NSE) has started! Via the NSE all students in the Netherlands are invited to make their voice heard on their degree programme. The University of Groningen decided to participate in the NSE this year again. This means that each student will receive the NSE survey invitation via email. The questionnaire will take you about 15 minutes to complete. Via the link in the email you can start the questionnaire immediately. Did you participate last year? Thank you! Be sure to make your voice heard again, because your opinion matters. For more information, go to nse.nl. By participating (before March 20) you can win a €2000 Travel voucher or 1 out of 500 Ticketmaster eGiftcards (€20 value), and more!

College Carrousel: Would you like to introduce high school students to science? Then sign up as a supervisor of the College Carrousel, a large introductory event for students from the 4th grade of high school. The Carrousel College will take place on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 April 2019. We are looking for students who want to work all day (9.15-15.15, for €35) and students who want to show groups around in the afternoon (13.00-15.00, for €20). Sign up by filling in this form.

Invention Summer Camp Wageningen: ... is back. On May 17th this event will be hosted in Impulse at the Campus of Wageningen University & Research. The aim of Invention Summer Camp Wageningen 2019 will be the creation of new innovative ideas that enhances the Physical Learning Environment and Social Interaction & Lifestyle at the Wageningen Campus. We offer participants a challenging and varied programme that consists of working on your ideas, inspiring keynote lectures and interesting workshops. Are you a student that is interested in contributing to the future of education? Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members! If you want to apply for a committee please email intern@svcover.nl. A resume or motivation is optional, so feel free to just tell him you are interested!


Memory

The Cover Room, the beating heart of Cover. The Memory keeps this heart beating but always making sure the room is open for a few hours every week. You get to decide how the interior looks as well as being in charge of the Thursday Afternoon Drinks every week.


HEROcee

This is Cover's safest committee. The members of this committee can be asked to perform as an ERO at several activities. If something happens around the Cover Room we can of course also be of help. Apply if you are interested in being a true HERO.


PropaganDee

The PropaganDee is the committee that designs, create and prints posters for Cover. They assure the quality of the Cover's posters, so that committees are able to focus on other tasks, without having to worry about posters.
