Let’s put a smile on that face!

Hi All! This Tuesday we'll have the first lunch lecture of this year from ASML. During this talk, Symen Jousma, an Application Engineer at ASML, will explain the technologies that underpin ASML machines as well as highlight the software that is involved. His talk is meant to give an insight into what it is like to try and push the boundaries of technology and answer your questions on what it is like to work for one of the major high-tech players in the world. Afterwards, we can all enjoy lunch together and discuss what we learned. You don't have to sing up, so feel free to join!

Also, we'll be attending a show of De Wereld Draait Door on Tuesday the 19th of November! the signups will open this Monday at 12.00, and be sure to enroll in time as there are only 20 spots available!

At the moment board 28 is waiting for The Joker to begin, Feline and I are very anxious. We hope to survive and see you on Monday! Janco is already mentally preparing for the next board activity: girls night! To be continued...

Joejoe,

Marieke

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

Language Buddy Committee: This new committee will be all about getting international students familiarized with Groningen and the Dutch culture. The buddies, who are members of this committee, are organizing several events for their international first-year students throughout the first year. Coupled with university-class Dutch lessons for the international students, this will enable first-years to put those freshly-learned Dutch phrases into action together with their buddies. Are you a Dutch student and would you like to show someone around in Groningen? Please consider joining the Language Buddy Committee!

ExCee: This committee organises a multi-city trip for usually more than a week! Joining this committee means to design and plan for the perfect trip for you and your fellow members. You decide on where to go and how to spend the money. You will experience how it is to work towards an extraordinarily rewarding experience, while making friends on the go. For more information and inspiration check out the website of the previous ExCee (Excursion Committee).

MxCee: Similiarly to the ExCee, the MxCee (Mega Excursion Committee) organises a trip spanning cities, countries and (sometimes) continents! Is organising an ExCee too easy for you? Then you might want to consider joining this committee: a trip that is longer, farther and more expensive!

ComExA: ComExA stands for Committee of External Affairs. This committee supports the commissioner of external affairs by making and keeping contact with companies. This is important for both the members and the association. Cover needs sponsorship to do all kind of awesome things. You get the chance to get to know a company and maybe even find a company for a final project or for a job.

YearbookCee: This committee creates and publishes the Cover yearbook! The yearbook contains an overview of all activities this year, all our brother and sister associations write a nice piece and the yearbook would not be complete without loads of pictures! Would you like to be part of the designing of the new yearbook? Then maybe you'd like being in the YearbookCee!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Feline, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!
