Love is in the air

Hi everyone! It's time for a newsletter takeover and what better day than Valentine's? Yes, I know it's way too commercialised, but I can't help myself. I just love to see people walking around with roses and other cliché presents. Best part of today was seeing a guy run in and out of the Albert Heijn and forcefully trying to remove the 35% off sticker. That's real love my friends! Whatever you think of Valentine's, it's almost over. I don't mind too much, because I'm quite excited for next week with the first ever sit-down social! Time for craft beer and nice talks with some snacks here and there. Another first is the question session for the GA, less snacks yet very informative. So, hop on by if you have any questions. Last but not least, the symposium sign ups are open, so make sure to sign up when you can.

Have a good one!

Feline

P.S. The ExCee is going to Bremen, yay!

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

HEROCee: This is Cover's safest committee. The members of this committee can be asked to perform as an ERO at several activities. When you join this committee, you can get your ERO course for free. You'll gain first-aid skills whilst being a HERO to all Cover members!

Complaints Committee: This independent committee has the goal to listen to and resolve complaints regarding the way a person has been treated by a member of or a person who is affiliated with Cover. They listen to all involved parties and, in the case of a serious complaint, they advise the board on how to resolve the situation. Of course, they will handle all complaints with as much confidentiality as possible. Please be aware of the fact that this committee is a GA committee. This means that applicants have to be approved by the General Assembly. To keep a good balance a female addition to the committee is preferred.

ActiviTee: This is the activities committee, also known as the "ActiviTee". They make sure that members of Cover have plenty of fun activities to go to outside the Cover room. You can think of drinking activities, creative activities, relaxing activities or more sportive activities. It has something for everyone! We also have a social (“borrel” in Dutch) every first Wednesday of the month in 't Gat van Groningen. Besides this, we organize a big end of the year party in December and a special big activity before the summer break.

RoomCee: The RoomCee is responsible for making sure the Cover room is kept open and fully stocked with snacks and drinks. The room is a nice place to waste your time and keeping it that way is our number one priority. Every Thursday at 16:00, there is a social in the room, the TAD. You're invited to come by for a beer, wine or soda!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Feline, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!

Nice to know

Hanze Racing Division: Are you looking for ways to apply theoretical knowledge to a real project and participate at international competitions to compete with other university teams? Then don't hesitate any longer and join Hanze Racing Division! This Formula Student electric team is currently looking for new members that want to share their knowledge and work together with likeminded individuals on electrical and/or future driverless cars! Visit our website to learn more!

YearbookCee: Hi everyone, yearbookcee here! If you want to be properly represented in the yearbook, upload your picture to the cover website! Another way to join the fun is to mail us 2 truths 1 lie about yourself (or visit the cover room to submit a physical note!). It is possible to have an anonymous submission, but you're more likely to end up in the yearbook if your truths and lies are personal. The box will be up at least until March.
