Mr. Newsletter the 5th

Hello Hello

As this is my 5th Newsletter, I was going to name it a Lustrum Newsletter, but then I realised that "Lustrum" refers to 5 years and not just 5 occurrences... Oh well...

Speaking of celebrations, Cover turned 27 last Sunday and we had a great evening that started with a dinner in the city centre and was completed at the cinema with the movie Tenet! I, for one, had lots of fun, even though admittedly I didn't really get the movie. There was also some celebratory cake somewhere in there!

Now, a big event that's coming up quickly is the RDW Self Driving Challenge! There will be multiple teams competing against each other from Cover, ASCI and RealTime, so if you are up for some friendly competition while sharpening your skills, this is the event for you! The event is coming up quickly, so don't forget to sign-up!

Shortly after the RDW Self Driving Challenge there is the Constitutional General Assembly! There, we discuss the future and current state of the association. If you are interested in the internal affairs of Cover, come and join a discussion about events, the budget, the committees and cool ideas! This is an especially exciting Assembly, as the new board will be installed! To close this off (bad joke incoming), I do have to say that, unlike its name suggests, a General Assembly is not a meeting where all the generals of the association meet.

Toedeloe,

Leo

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

ActiviTee: The ActviTee organizes all kinds of fun events for Cover members, ranging from relaxing to sportive, creative, and drinking activities. Besides socials (or "borrels" in Dutch), they organize a big end of year party in December and a special activity before the summer break.

DisCover: The DisCover is our very own magazine, filled with articles, comics, puzzles, and columns. Will you DisCover your talent for editing or making beautiful layouts in this committee? Also check out the archive to take a look at the previous editions!

ExCee: The ExCee, short for Excursion Commitee, organizes a nice trip within Europe! Along the way, we visit companies and universities and [snuffle/smell/sniff/snort/inhale/scent] some culture.

SympoCee: The SympoCee organizes a one-day speaker event called a Symposium. The brightest minds from all over the world come together to give a talk about their area of expertise and how it's connected with the theme of that edition. Take a look at their website for more information about last year's edition!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Feline, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!
