Time flies when you are having fun!

Hey hey,

We are already more or less in the middle of the first block! Simply put, if the academic year was a pizza cut into 8 slices, we would only have 7 pieces left. I'm not sure if this is a good analogy, but it's certainly cheesy!

In just a few days we have the 3rd CoverTalks! Our speaker this time is Davide Grossi, our awesome in-house associate professor in Multi-Agent Decision Making at the Bernoulli Institute. With plenty of publications in the field we can't wait to hear his insights and answers to your juicy questions!

Later in the week we will play Schlagball at the Stadspark. If you don't know what Schlagball is, don't worry (I didn't know either)! In short, Schlagball is a simplified and fun variation of baseball. To get to the point: if you want to relive your childhood and enjoy a few hours outdoors in the company of your friends while hitting some balls at them, just join! There will also be some drinks for the bench players ;) Of course, we will take the RIVM corona guidelines into account. Therefore please sign up for the activity.

Toedeloe,

Leo

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

ActiviTee: The ActviTee organizes all kinds of fun events for Cover members, ranging from relaxing to sportive, creative, and drinking activities. Besides socials (or "borrels" in Dutch), they organize a big end of year party in December and a special activity before the summer break.

DisCover: The DisCover is our very own magazine, filled with articles, comics, puzzles, and columns. Will you DisCover your talent for editing or making beautiful layouts in this committee? Also check out the archive to take a look at the previous editions!

ExCee: The ExCee, short for Excursion Commitee, organizes a nice trip within Europe! Along the way, we visit companies and universities and [snuffle/smell/sniff/snort/inhale/scent] some culture.

SympoCee: The SympoCee organizes a one-day speaker event called a Symposium. The brightest minds from all over the world come together to give a talk about their area of expertise and how it's connected with the theme of that edition. Take a look at their website for more information about last year's edition!
