Woop woop!

Hey heeeeyy!

This week started on a high note with the ASML lecture! Maria shared with us some of her experiences from her work at ASML, one of the biggest manufacturers of machines that make nice cool chips!

The week is going to end at an equally high note, with the League of Legends tournament on Saturday! There will be 6 teams and you can check the planned match-ups on our Discord server!

Next up, we got a food auction coming up! We didn’t have the usual fun IntroCamp auction this year so we really wanted to host an alternative. In this auction, we will auction tons of food live from the Cover Room! If you want to grab a nice deal or just see what sillly bids other people place, join us!

THERE IS A BIG LAUNCH ON THE 2ND OF DECEMBER. IT’S HUGE. Ok I’ll stop screaming, but really, there is a big nice launch at the Cover Social of the 2nd. Also free drinks and stuff! Sign-up!

Last but not least! Yearbooks are cool. And the yearbook our YearbookCee made is pretty cool too! Ok, not gonna lie. It’s awesome. Also have a closer look at the front cover! There is a lot of stuff there that I didn’t notice at first. You can get yours here!

Toedeloe,

Leo

P.S. There are still Knaek passes to grab for free! Contact the board if you want one. It’s cool beans.

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

IntroCee: Every year Cover organises the Introduction Day and Camp for first-year students of AI and CS. If you would like to be responsible for this amazing weekend filled with great activities and people, then sign up now for the IntroCee!

IlluminaTee: The IlluminaTee organizes events together with the Commissioner of Educational Affairs, that will be educational and supplementary to the degree programs, such as the CoverTalks!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Amber, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!

Nice to know

A message from the AI Academic Advisors: During open office hours, students are welcome to attend in groups, if they have a common question, or are interested in listening in on questions asked by others. For personal questions, we suggest students make an appointment that others can't 'burst into'. If you are a bachelors student of AI, you can join here (Tuesday 11.00-11.30) and if you are a masters student of AI, you can join here (Thursday 11.00-11.30).

FSE Christmas Committee: The FSE now has a Christmas Committee that is looking for members! This committee will organise nice Christmas activities for students, institutes, groups of staff etc. It's a great place to show your creativity! If you are interested, you can send an email to the board

ICT Day 2020: Attention ICT-students! On December the 16th, a large interactive and informative hybrid event will take place where you can put yourself in the spotlight and easily come into contact with fellow students and organizations. Interesting organizations will join us to discuss trends in the field of ICT. The theme “Data-driven living together” is central. You can follow a workshop given by the organization that you think is most interesting. Finally, it will be concluded with a pleasant online drink in which you, again, have the opportunity to talk to organizations that you are interested in. Sign-up here!
