Newsletter

YOU will write the next newsletter!

Okay, this is how it's gonna work. This is a coup, against me. You can decide what the content of the next newsletter will be. I will write the agenda, committee changes and 'nice to knows'. You write the rest, through this form (it's anonymous). If no one fills the form, I'll be mildly disappointed, but I have faith in you all! I will include as many of the submissions as possible :)

Now onto the good stuff! Paddle Boating in 5 days!!!. This activity is specially organised for 1st year AI/CS students so you can find a new buddy and enjoy together the canals of Groningen! Sign up, as we only have few spots available! If this event is a success, we will definitely try to organize more!

Next up we got the Cover Career Day coming up on the 20th of May! I don't know why I'm mentioning it here, you should have signed up already. If you want to network and learn cool stuff about cool companies, this is your chance!

Do you like jam? Do you like games? If you answered yes to these questions, you are the perfect fit for the upcoming GameJam! Take on the challenge of developing a small game in groups of up to 4 people over a weekend and potentially win an amazing prize! This event is organised in collaboration with FairPlay and Glitch, so it's also a great opportunity to get to know new people!

Last but not least, there is a symposium coming up as well! Well, it's not anytime soon, but it will be towards the end of September, so keep an eye out for more info soon. Get hyped people, and we will SympoSEE you in September! I was forced to make this pun...

Toedeloe,

Leo

P.S.: Wow, this is quite a lengthy one... But it's all cool beans.

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

Nice to know

Cover Career day: Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the horizon of your studies in Artificial Intelligence, Computing Science, or Human-Machine Communication? Come to the Cover Career Day on the 20th of May to find out! Nowadays, every company deals with software, data, and tech in some way or another. This opens up a lot of doors for us students, but might also seem daunting. How do you know which area or subfield of IT suits you best? What type of study background do you need to fulfill a certain position? What other possibilities are out there?

This online event, hosted on the interactive platform Gather.town, consists of lectures, workshops, an information market, and a concluding networking social. If you are among the first 80 participants, you will receive an amazing goodie bag. Go to: https://careerday.svcover.nl/ and sign-up!

The FSE Radio is recruiting!: Do you have experience in journalism? Do you enjoy talking to students or staff in our faculty? Do you like your voice to be heard? Are you eager to exploit your ideas? Or do you just want to be part of an exciting new adventure with a team? Then the FSE radio might be something for you! We are looking for 5 dedicated students to be a part of the FSE radio’s main team on a voluntary basis (unpaid job). You can find more information in the position description page.
