One week down, a lot to go

Hellooooo,

It is Friday once again, and this week that means that the first week of uni has officially happened! I hope that everyone has enjoyed getting back into the swing of things, and that while you might (understandably) still be mourning the vacation you are also getting some hapiness from the retun of physical classes, and of course the reopening of our beautiful Cover Room!

Besides lectures starting again, we have also already had a week filled with activities. Both the burgers at Baxbier on Wednesday, and the City Tour today were a blast! But if you missed these events, fear not! More fun is heading your way soon!

One of these fun events is the Social at Stadslab that is happening on Saturday. Meet people, have some drinks, and all around enjoy your weekend at this awesome terrace that is ready for a party!

Then, on Sunday, we will close out the week with a fun game of jeu de boules at BOEL. There you will experience that a game centered around throwing balls can be about as thrilling as playing Mario Kart with your friends can be. Or you can of course decide to just take it slow and have a fun chill afternoon.

Another upcoming event that is truely exciting is this years symposium! For the low price of 5 euros everyone is invited to come and spend an entire day learning. Besides that, an awesome lunch will be included and afterwards there will be a borrel to discuss everything you have learned at the event. I urge everyone to sign up, as it will be unforgettable!

I hope everyone has enjoyed their first week as much as I have, and if not I hope the upcoming year will make up for that!

Hasta la vista,

Alissa

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

ExCee: The ExCee has only one task. Together they try to organize an awesome trip within Europe. This trip involves company visits, university visits, and the general opportunity to experience some culture.

LCDee: The LANs, Computers and Drinking committee is the committee responsible for organizing the yearly LAN parties, fun gaming tournaments, and the Crash & Compile, which is a programming competition involving a lot of free beer. Next to that they also moderate the Cover Discord.

PhotoCee:The PhotoCee makes sure that Cover has astonishing pictures from the events that are hosted, be it a simple TAD or monthly social, a sports event, or even the gala. It's their duty to ensure that the Photos page on the website is filled with the most memorable photographs of your time here at Cover.
