A bit of a sad newsletter

Hello everyone!

This week the newsletter is a bit sad. That is because over the last week new Corona measures have been installed both by the government as well as by the uni. The first part of this newsletter will then thus also be dedicated on the things that have changes because of these new measures.

The most important change is that it is not allowed anymore for members to sit in the room. The only thing still allowed is for people to buy drinks/snacks. These will however have to be consumed outside of the room as well. This also means that for the next few weeks the opening times of the room have been changed to 11:00-14:00 every day.

The new rules then also of course bring a change in events with them. Last week we sadly had to cancel some events since it would not have been responsible anymore to go through with them. For that same reason, TADs are also not happening anymore for at least the next couple weeks.

But fear not! Even though some event have been cancelled, others can still go on. First and foremost is the bouldering workshop that is taking place on Monday! Together with an instructor our group will learn how to best climb, after which there will be time to try on your own!

On Tuesday SNiC is finally taking place! SNiC is a bit IT conference, this year with the theme MobilIT. It promises to be an interesting and fun event with a lot of cool talks given by awesome speakers. Besides this all, signups for breakfast in the bus on our way to the event is now possible!

That is it for this week! I promise that despite these new rules we will keep organising as many fun events as we can, even if they have to take place in a slightly different way.

Hasta la vista,

Alissa

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

SympoCee: The SympoCee is the committee that organizes a symposium every year. The symposium is a big and important educational event that happens once every year. A bunch of interesting speakers will come talk about a topic related to AI or CS. Joining this committee means that you will be in charge of organising our next symposium!

PropaganDee: The PropaganDee is the committee that creates and/or prints posters for other committees. Besides that, they are involved with managing Cover's social media. They thus do a lot of promotion for the association, either physically printed as a poster or digitally posted!

ExCee: The ExCee has only one task. Together they try to organize an awesome trip within Europe. This trip involves company visits, university visits, and the general opportunity to experience some culture.

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Zoe, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!
