Merry Sinterklaas!

Hello everyone!

This weekend is Sinterklaas weekend! I hope everyone has a great time filles with presents, pepernoten, and chocolate letters.

Because of Sinterklaas, it was possible in the last week to leave your shoe in the Cover room, in the hopes he will drop by over the weekend he fills the shoes with some nice prezzies. We will find out on Monday if he found some time in his busy schedule to also give gifts to our precious members!

Another cool event that took place last week was this year's first edition of the Cover Talks. It went over everything crypto, blockchain and NFT to give some explanation about what it was, and have a lively discussion about the pros and cons of these things. It is a good strong start that promises more awesome IlluminaTee events to come!

A cool event on our horizon is the upcoming Christmas Pub Quiz! Team up with your friends or join a random team of Cover members in this battle of knowledge with a Christmas theme. And who knows? Maybe your team will know more than anyone else!

That is it for this week! I hope everyone will have a great weekend, and I will see you again in next week's newsletter!

Hasta la vista,

Alissa

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

ExCee: The ExCee has only one task. Together they try to organize an awesome trip within Europe. This trip involves company visits, university visits, and the general opportunity to experience some culture.

ActiviTee: The ActiviTee makes sure that members of Cover have plenty of fun activities to go to outside the Cover room. You can think of drinking activities, creative activities, relaxing activities or more sportive activities. It has something for everyone!

LCDee: The LANs, Computers and Drinking committee is the committee responsible for organizing the yearly LAN parties, fun gaming tournaments, and the Crash & Compile, which is a programming competition involving a lot of free beer. Next to that they also moderate the Cover Discord.

Nice to know

Our association has both a confidential advisor and a Complaints Committee that are there to help you with difficulties. The confidential advisor is our Commissioner of Internal Affairs, Zoe, and you are free to come to her with any trouble you might be having. She will then either help you directly, or refer you to the correct people to get assistance. The Complaints Committee is there to help in times of interpersonal conflict with you and someone else from the association, no matter who. They will offer an objective perspective and help solve any problems you might have. Do not hestate to contact either of the two in case of need, they are there to help!
