Baby it's cold outside

Hello everyone!

Christmas is drawing near, which means it is getting cold outside. I recommend bundling up in some blankets with a nice cup of hot chocolate while you read this newsletter. And who knows? Maybe the upcoming events will also warm your heart!

I will first answer a question many of you might have. There will be no gala this December. The rules currently do not allow it. Instead we have decided to set up some other fun (Christmas) activities before the holiday, and will save the gala for whenever we can gala again.

The first exciting upcoming activity we have for everyone is a Christmas Pub Quiz! Hosted by the board, you can sign up with a team or join a team of random Cover members. The quiz will be livestreamed, and you can join up with your teammates either physically or online to see who will win this Christmassy battle of knowledge!

On Friday, there will be a coffee social that also doubles as a committee market! There you can not only relax with your fellow Cover members, getting ready for the day while enjoying a nice hot beverage, but it will also be a source of information if you are even a little interested in joining a committee! In a casual setting, active members will be available to tell you all about what being in a committee entails!

That's gonna be it for next week! I hope to see you all at the upcoming events, or until the next newsletter!

Hasta la vista,

Alissa

Dr. Andrea Capiluppi is trying to see if he can arrange a private space within the uni where CS students can work together in working groups on projects they are doing, especially if the project would require special equipment. For this proposal he however needs to measure student interest in this. We are thus asking for everyone to be so kind to fill in this questionnaire: https://forms.gle/KcxDanv6eQtmKJNy8. It is rather short, but filling it in would help us out greatly with setting this up!
