Exams and LLAMA's

Hello everyone, this newsletter marks the halfway point of the exam weeks! Only seven more days to go, and those pesky exams will retreat again for around eight weeks. But in the meantime I will be here to tell you about some fun things Cover is organising for all of you to take some off the pressure off.

Firstly, a very important announcement! The Grant Club Application Form is now officially open! As you might have heard, the GA has decided to request Board XXX's leftover grant money and form a Board Grant Club that will spend it organising a fun event/activity. So fill in the Google Form that can be found on the Cover website (along with some extra information about the grant club itself) if you want to be a part of it, or if you simply have a great idea for an unforgettable activity!

Then it is time again for us to thank all out Lovely Active Members! To do so, we will be organising a fun activity specifically for our active members to thank them for all the hard work they do for the association. What we will be doing will remain a secret for now, but can promise you you do not want to miss it!

And would you like to join a LAMA but currently can't because you are not an active member? An active member is a member that is part of a committee! So check out some of the committees listed below, or the full list on the committee tab of the website, and apply to become one!

That was it again! Best of luck with the tail end of the exams, and until next week!

Hasta la vista,

Alissa

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

LCDee: The LANs, Computers and Drinking committee is the committee responsible for organizing the yearly LAN parties, fun gaming tournaments, and the Crash & Compile, which is a programming competition involving a lot of free beer. Next to that they also moderate the Cover Discord.

SporTee: The goal of the SporTee is to keep the members of Cover in shape by organising sporty and fun activities. Things like bouldering, karting, and ice skating are all among the fun activities they have organised!

StudCee: The StudCee is here to provide study support! Either by organizing support lectures, hosting old exams and summaries online, or maintaining an awesome tutoring system, they try to give students that little extra edge on a more personal level, and make sure to have fun in the process.

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Zoe, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!

A third-year student at the University of Groningen and part of the student consultancy firm Citys Groningen, formerly Mufid Consultancy would like your help with their research. They are currently conducting a study into mental health among students on behalf of Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Through this research they try to come a step closer to the solution for the general bad mental health that prevails among students.

For their project we are investigating whether a so-called 'Mental Gym' can offer a solution for mental problems. This is an initiative of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and a local start-up in Groningen that offers a place for young people to work on a healthy mental state.

They prepared a survey for the research that can filled in anonymously in order to get a better picture of the mental health of Groningen students and how they themselves view the subject of mental health. PLease fill it in to help the research!
