So many holidays!

Hello everyone!

Now that Easter and kingsday are over, and liberation day is coming up, I hope everyone has had a great time celebrating some holidays and thus enjoyed some free days!

New weeks also mean new Cover events! We once again have a lot of fun in store for you.

Starting with a Chess Tournament that will span the entire week. Together with our lovely brother association FMF we are going to have a week filled with chess, that will either help you become better or give you the opportunity to show off all your chess skills. So make sure to participate!

On Tuesday the IlluminaTee and the popMyCorn club will be organizing a movie night. The movie Her will be watched, accompanied by some free snacks. Afterwards you will get to enjoy a discussion about any and all of the themes discussed in the movie. So join for a very chill yet educational night!

On Saturday, the first edition of the Groningen Algorithm Programming Competition will take place. At the GAPC, students from the RUG and the Hanze will work in teams to solve a set of problems. The team that solves the most problems within the time limits will take home the RUG cup! Anyone who wants to can participate, so sign up now!

The week after is one to already put down in your calendar, as it will feature a DUO inhouse day, a big gala, and a LAN. More info about any of these events can be found in the agenda!

That was it again for this newsletter! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I will see y'all again next week!

Hasta la vista,

Alissa

We want you to be in a committee!

A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

HEROcee: This is Cover's safest committee. The members of this committee can be asked to perform as an ERO at several activities. If something happens around the Cover Room we can of course also be of help.

StudCee: The StudCee is here to provide study support! Either by organizing support lectures, hosting old exams and summaries online, or maintaining an awesome tutoring system, they try to give students that little extra edge on a more personal level, and make sure to have fun in the process.

SporTee: The goal of the SporTee is to keep the members of Cover in shape by organising sporty and fun activities. Things like bouldering, karting, and ice skating are all among the fun activities they have organised!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Zoe, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!

Nice to know

Student council elections are coming up again, and for any student it is important to vote! It is however understandable that you might not know what this is all about. And how can you vote without being informed? As a way to learn, both about their policy, but also about the student council and elections in general, Studenten Organisatie Groningen (SOG) is hosting a social on Monday May 9th where you can meet their candidates in a chill environment, and ask any election questions you might have!
