Hello everyone,

What a week! Are you ready for another one? And what a week it is going to be.

We are starting it off with a Brainstorm for the Long Term Plan. The working group will present you with another draft for the plan so you can give feedback before the next General Assembly.

On Tuesday we have organised a Wiki Writing Session. Have you been waiting for a good opportunity to update your committees Wiki? This is it. What better way to work on the Wikis than with company and snacks.

Do you want to celebrate the new block with some drinks and friends at a casual social? Missing summer in these rainy days? Then the Hawaiian Social is the event for you! Come dressed in your favorite Hawaiian attire and be ready to escape the winter blues and embrace the summer vibes!

I hope you are already excited for the Little LLAMA. On Thursday we have a Taskmaster-esque activity organised for all of our lovely active members. Enjoy the challenges set for you, beat the system and win with your team. We will have snacks and drinks available there as well, all you need to do is show up and enjoy!

Is the winter not cold enough for you? Do you need to cool down after all the summer vibes at the Hawaiian Social. Join us for Ice Skating. The skill level you bring with you does not matter!

If you thought this was all, you are wrong! Get ready for the Hackathon with Belsimple. On Saturday you’ll be able to work on a solution for the Gomibo Warehouse project and contribute to Belsimpel|Gomibo’s success. They’ve built all the software to manage our warehouse themselves but it is getting a bit old and can use some refreshing. Be creative and help renew the software! Whether you have experience or don't know yet how a Hackathon works, you're free to join!

Auf Wiedersehen, Jellybean!

We want you to be in a committee!

⚠️ Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

DisCover is the name of Cover's newly revived magazine and of the committee behind it. The committee is responsible for gathering, creating, and editing content, and determining what goes into the magazine. We are going to start with a new edition of DisCover soon, so there is a lot of freedom on how it is going to look like. If that interests you, this is the perfect time to join DisCover!

PhotoCee makes sure that Cover has astonishing pictures from the events that are hosted, be it a simple TAD or monthly social, a sports event, or even the gala. Do you want to practice your skills with the camera? Then this is the committee for you!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Luca, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!

Info Session on Curriculum Changes BSc AI

To improve the programme, the AI curriculum will be updated next year. Your academic advisors will discuss the changes, and how they affect you, during an information session on Monday, 12 February from 15.00-17.00 in FBG 5616.0125 (Feringa Building). In the second portion of the session we will discuss elective/minor choices.

This session is most relevant for second-year (or higher) students who have run into study delay at some point, but all bachelor students are welcome to attend.

Masters programme prospectives at RuG

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) is interested in boosting student numbers in masters programmes within the faculty. To gain some insight into factors which affect this decision process, they would like current bachelor students within the FSE answer a few questions in regards to their decision to continue into a masters programme here at RuG. This information is being collected anonymously. You can find the survey here.

Zernikeborg

The Smitsborg (Center for Information Technology) used to be called Zernikeborg and had to change name when the faculty picked the name Zernikeborg for their new building. Then Feringa won a Nobel price and the name change turned out to be unnecessary.
