Hey,

Last week we got to visit the beautiful Thessaloniki, thanks to the efforts of the ExCee. We hiked Mount Olympus, met up with the local study association, discovered a lot of good food, and so much more. Now, we are looking forward to an exciting week ahead here in Groningen.

We are starting off the week with the Vth Cover Beercantus. A cantus is a typical Dutch student tradition, consisting of an evening filled with fun, singing, drinking beer 🍺, and rules. If you don't want to drink alcohol, there are alcohol-free alternatives available.

On Tuesday you can ReCover from the exams (and the Cantus if you are joining) with the Painting Plant Pots activity. There will be free drinks and snacks and while we paint we will hear a short talk on how to keep house plants alive.

Now, this is probably what you have all been looking forward too. On Wednesday we will have our very own Symposium: (Un)Real. It will be a day full of experts from the fields of AI and CS bringing you amazing talks at Flonk Hotel Groningen Zuid, sharing their knowledge on topics you might still be unaware of. An event you do not want to miss. You can find more details on the website , on the Cover Instagram account or on the announcements channels. Tickets are still available, but not for long!

The third block is finally over, which means we need to celebrate and look towards the year coming up. Join us for the BSA Borrel & IntroCee Theme Announcement. Celebrate (looking forward to) reaching the BSA and finding out about next year's Intro Camp over a couple of tap beers/sodas along with your fellow first/years.

Are you interested in how machine learning is integrated in large-scale software platforms? Or in how these techniques are used to analyse high-performance teams, like the RedBull racing team? Would you like to try out this software yourself? And see if you can improve their models? You can learn a lot about machine learning at the Student Event w/ Ordina, Oracle & Oracle RedBull Racing.

Auf Wiedersehen, Jellybean!

We want you to be in a committee!

⚠️ Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

DisCover is the name of Cover's magazine and of the committee behind it. The committee is responsible for gathering, creating, and editing content, and determining what goes into the magazine. We are hoping to start with a new edition of DisCover soon, so there is a lot of freedom on how it is going to look like. If that interests you, this is the perfect time to join DisCover!

Is graphic design your passion? Have you at least heard of Photoshop before? Then PropaganDee is the committee for you! With so many events every week, there's a very high demand for posters, instagram posts, and other promotional material. This is the responsibility of PropaganDee—other committees reach out to them to promote their activities.

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Luca, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!
