New Beginnings

Hey,

Last week was a big one! This week we have some more great activities planned.

On Monday our new committee CircuitRee is organising their first event! Here you can Code Your Own LED Matrix. You will learn how to create a custom library (interface) from scratch to operate an LED matrix using the Raspberry Pi Pico with Micropython.

On Wednesday evening we will shoot each other with paint in a good game of Paintball. The sign-ups are already full, but you can put your name on a waiting list.

Looking ahead into next week the sign-ups for the Career Day have opened! The event consist of lectures and workshops followed by an information market, where you can ask the questions you've always wanted to ask to CS and AI professionals. If you are not quite looking for a job yet, we still encourage you to come to this event! Career orientation early on in your studies might help you effectively shape your curriculum to suit the position you desire.

Auf Wiedersehen, Jellybean!

We want you to be in a committee!

⚠️ Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

Every year, Cover organises a Symposium. Symposiums are one-day events that are filled with great talks on a range of many different topics. Did you enjoy the last Symposium? Are you passionate about any particular talks? Interested in coming into contact with talkers passionate in their field? Join SympoCee to help organise this unique event next year.

DisCover is the name of Cover's magazine and of the committee behind it. The committee is responsible for gathering, creating, and editing content, and determining what goes into the magazine. We are hoping to start with a new edition of DisCover soon, so there is a lot of freedom on how it is going to look like. If that interests you, this is the perfect time to join DisCover!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Luca, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs!
