Guess who's back

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I wrote my last newsletter. For a few weeks I gave this responisibility to my lovely vice-chair and commissioner of educational affairs: Teun. I am very thankful that Teun was able and willing to take over this task, but alas, the time has come for me to return.

I hope you are doing well and enjoying life at the moment. I can fully understand that focusing on uni for a long time, doing courswork, or any other type of work, gets boring in the long run. If you do get bored, feel free to drop by the Cover room for some fun board games, a round of mario kart or some other form of socializing.

Next week we will once again have some great events for you. Last monday the Machine Learning Fortnight started. The event will last no less than 2 weeks. Participants have to use their knowledge and skills to predict the energy consumption for a small building. The team that does this best, will win a prize.

Today at 17:00 we will be starting the Crash & Compile, which promises to be a fun and challenging event. I wish all participants good luck, and may the best team win!

The next event is an important one. On wednesday the 4th there will be another General Assembly, where every member can voice their opinion about matters within the association. The documents that will be discussed can be found on our SD. We hope to see you there!

The week will be closed with another edition of our weekly Thursday Afternoon Drinks (TAD). This weeks theme will be "Sinterklaas". Make sure to drop by for some free drinks and a lot of fun!

That's it from me, I will be back in a week.

See you at the bbq🍖🍺!

Julian

We want you to be in a committee!

⚠️ Here is a cool thingy for our new members: Ever heard of a committee? A committee is a group of friends that work towards a common goal. You can learn about all sorts of topics such as budgeting, planning, sponsoring, and much more! See the website for a complete overview of committees that are looking for members!

IntroCee is renewing! IntroCee is the committee in charge of organising the Introduction Week. The IntroWeek is the first week of uni that is filled with events for the first years so that thea can discover the university, Cover and to facilitate meeting new people. The main events during the week are the introductory barbecue and of course the IntroCamp: the weekend of fun and games! If you enjoyed your IntroCamp in your year and want to share that experience with the future first years, you can do so through IntroCee! Even if you didn't attend the IntroCamp, IntroCee is a great committee to make an unforgettable event for the first years!

Are you interested in joining a committee? Don't hesitate to contact Phillip, our Commissioner of Internal Affairs.
